Friday, August 19, 2022
Since the late 1990’s, Caltrans, LA Metro, the Gateway Cities COG, and the I-710 Corridor cities have been trying to resolve the air quality, congestion and safety issues associated with the I-710 Freeway Corridor and the surrounding communities. Studies have included a Major Corridor Study, and an environmental review utilizing both the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). All these studies and project development activities have been accomplished through a partnership of seven funding agencies:
- Gateway Cities COG and Corridor cities
- LA Metro
- Caltrans
- SCAG
- I-5 Joint Powers Authority
- Port of Long Beach
- Port of Los Angeles
