Homelessness is often seen as a personal tragedy—and that’s usually true. But homelessness also affects all of us.
That’s because not having a permanent place to live precludes virtually every positive social contribution, from employment to community engagement, that a homeless person might otherwise make. (Lots more about homelessness here: http://ow.ly/qRsl3003mR7.)
That’s why here in southeastern Los Angeles County, we see our homelessness policy as both humanitarian and community-minded. Check out our plan here: http://ow.ly/Nq5N3003o7B.
