Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 (Gold Line)

The Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 (Gold Line) will extend east from Pomona Blvd and Atlantic Blvd. in East Los Angeles through Commerce, Montebello, Pico Rivera, and Santa Fe Springs, to Whittier, also passing through the unincorporated communities of East Los Angeles and West Whittier-Los Nietos. The new line will connect major shopping hubs and business centers in the subregion to East Los Angeles. The forecasted opening for the ESP2 will be 2035. In coordination with LA Metro, the Gateway Cities Council of Governments has engaged in advocacy efforts to ensure that the project is fully funded and will be completed by the projected date.
