The Gateway Cities COG is pleased to host an active and informative networking group for all member cities interested in becoming more sustainable and energy efficient throughout their operations. The Gateway Cities Energy Working Group EWG brings cities together every quarter with representatives of SoCal-REN, SoCal Gas and the Beacon Program to keep abreast of the latest developments and to access the many opportunities that each of these programs pro- vides to support our cities. Equally important, it allows Gateway cities to network and to share your successes and experiences with each of these programs. Meetings are open to anyone interested in making your city more energy efficient, including Public Works, Planning, Water, Development Services, and Parks.

EWG meetings are held quarterly on the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am in the following months:

The Southern California Regional Energy Network (SoCalREN) Public Agency Programs offer customized support and resources to help public agencies save energy and money and lead their communities on the pathway to zero net energy and greater sustainability.

GCCOG is proud to partner with SoCalREN to bring their suite of services to the Gateway Cities! We’re leveraging our local knowledge and strong relationships with public agencies in the Gateway sub-region to bring SoCalREN’s no-cost support on energy, demand, and water-saving projects to our communities.

Together, we’ll ensure SoCalREN’s highly valued programs are accessible for public agencies, especially those supporting underserved and hard-to-reach communities, in the Gateway Cities.
