Artesia is a small community located 15 miles southeast of Los Angeles that was originally built around artesian wells. The city is sometimes referred to as "Little India,” because it has the second largest population of ethnic Indians in the country, after New York City.
It is home to the East West Ice Palace a full-sized ice rink owned by Olympic figure skating medalist Michelle Kwan. The Ice Palace facility also includes a fitness center, dance and exercise room as well as a snack bar and pro shop.
This wonderful community asset features a skating school and hockey program. Public skating sessions take place each week and the venue can be rented out for birthday parties.
