The Gateway Cities Council of Governments embodies this quote from Alibaba founder Jack Ma. Leaders in 27 cities in Southeast Los Angeles County are working collaboratively through the COG to achieve a unified and more powerful voice.

The COG represents 2 million people. It serves as a forum to acquire input from each community and strives for consensus on important issues affecting the area. Because of its unified voice, it has successfully advocated for $1.2 billion in federal funding for projects aimed at improving the region’s transportation networks, air quality, housing and economic development.
