Cerritos is at the center of it all « Back to Search Results

Once known as Dairy Valley, the City of Cerritos, California historically had more cows and chickens than people. The city has grown a lot since then, in part because of its auspicious location in the center of the Los Angeles basin.

Cerritos is a forward-thinking city. It built the nation’s first solar-powered city hall and recycles water to irrigate its numerous parks. The vibrant community includes a center for the performing arts and a public art program. It’s also home to one of the top public libraries in the country, with 300,000 books and themed reading areas.

The city has its own YouTube Channel where it regularly publishes videos of interest to residents and visitors. Peruse videos about a wide variety of topics, from pedestrian safety to public art programs, recycling and crime prevention.
