Welcome to Bell
The City of Bell boasts many wonderful "small town" amenities for residents young and old.
Families
In Bell, one-third of the residents are under the age of 18, so one of our top priorities is serving families. Students benefits from year-round schools with dedicated instructors, and active parent-teacher associations.

Parents may enroll their younger children in Bell Fun Camp during vacations and in the Bell Afterschool Club during the semester. Plus, youngsters of all ages can take advantage of league soccer and a wealth of leisure classes in everything from dance to gymnastics to bowling. The Bell Library has many events tailored to its young patrons.

Senior Citizens
Keeping Bell's active senior citizens busy is another priority. They city sponsors a daily hot lunch program, a weekly senior citizen's club, and monthly lectures and field trips. Seniors can depend on our Dial-A-Ride shuttle for free transpiration to their choice of activities.
Parks
Bell is proud of its four well-equipped, well-staffed parks which offer sports and recreation opportunities for both children and adults. Periodic upgrading of the facilities make sure our parks remain an important community resource.
Public safety
The Bell Police Department is one of the highest ranked department is Southern California and with good reason. It sponsors many programs to make the city as safe as possible. The Neighborhood Watch program teaches residents about home security and personal safety; volunteer police technicians free officers to concentrate on critical law enforcement duties; and the Police Explorers and community police increase resident awareness about crime prevention.
Improvements and beautification
Bell is planning for the future by making sure the city's infrastructure is always appropriate for needs of both residents and businesses. Streets, curbs, sidewalks, sewers, bus shelters and traffic light sare just a few of the areas that have been upgraded in the last few years. More projects are planned for 1999 and beyond. In addition, Bell is committed to making the city as attractive as possible by planting trees and offering-interest home improvement loans.

Bell's commitment to the community extends to businesses that are considering operating in Bell. We look forward to discussing your plans and needs.
